Mike Tautalanoa
Our captain Mike Tautalanoa has been in the building and construction industry for over 25 years. He is a Licensed Building Practitioner and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the building industry. A proud Tongan, Mike's dad is from Kolovai & his mother from Vaini. Born in South Auckland, at a young age he moved to and was raised in his father's village of Kolovai, Tonga. Mike eventually moved back to South Auckland, Aotearoa where he now lives and loves. He is passionate about his family, friends, Church and rugby and loves to give back to his local community. Mike is driven to help build the capacity of his people in the building industry.
Melony Tautalanoa
Mel Tautalanoa nee Paikea is of Ngati Whatua and Ngati Whakaue (Te Arawa) descent. A proud Maori woman and entrepreneur at heart, she is passionate to see other Entrepreneurial Maori dominate in the business world. Wife, mother and Nana are the most important job titles Mel holds. She is also the glue that holds all the moving pieces of First Kings Construction together, making sure everything runs smoothly. Her ability to communicate and organise and her friendly warm nature will make sure your project is a memorable one!
